"Fabiana Striffler is one of the most exciting violinists that the jazz world has heard in years! Her playing is a perfect combination of soulfulness, surprise, beautiful tone, and brilliant technique." (New York, Ken Peplowski)
Born in 1988, Fabiana studied jazz and classical violin at the University of the Arts and the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin. She shared stages and studios with renowned musicians from the jazz, classical, and pop scenes from a young age.
Her debut album, Mahagoni, was nominated by Deutschland Funk as "Best Album" of the year. This was followed by her current album, Sweet And So Solitary, which is referred to as a "revolution in jazz" by the Zitty magazine.
Her music is supported by the Initiative Musik gGmbH. In 2016, she received a New York scholarship, and a year earlier, she received the "Elsa Neumann" scholarship for composition and performance with a modern and improvising string quartet. In 2013, she won the jury prize with "La Roman de la Rose" at the 100 Grad Festival Berlin.
Additionally, from 2013-2018, she was a fellow of the Yehudi Menuhin Association.
