Lini Gong  Vocal studies


Soprano with Chinese roots, specializing in contemporary music. She has a close collaboration with composers such as Peter Ruzicka, Elmar Lampson, and Hèctor Parra. The soprano has performed with numerous orchestras, including Ensemble Resonanz, Ensemble Recherche, SWR Radio Orchestra, hr-Sinfonieorchester, NDR Radio Orchestra, and the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra. In 2014, she participated in premieres of major roles at the Munich Biennale, and in 2015 and 2016 at the Schwetzingen SWR Festival. In 2017, Lini Gong made her debut at the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg in a concert performance of Arnold Schoenberg's opera "Moses und Aaron" with the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra conducted by Ingo Metzmacher. 



In 2018, she sang the lead role in the world premiere of Peter Ruzicka's "Benjamin" at the Hamburg State Opera. In 2021, she performed in an opera gala at the Hamburg State Opera with the Hamburg Philharmonic State Orchestra conducted by Kent Nagano. In 2022, she sang the lead role in the world premiere of Shih-Hui Chen's "Or / And" at the Asia Society Texas Center in Houston. In May 2023, Lini Gong participated in the world premiere of Salvatore Sciarrino's "Vedere e Adone" at the Hamburg State Opera, conducted by Kent Nagano.
