In the quartet of the young Berlin resident and his longtime mentor and musical companion Dave Liebman, the young bandleader, drummer, and composer caused a stir in 2016 with his own vision by bringing the spirit of the legendary Lighthouse edition of Elvin Jones' band of the early 70s into the 21st century and impressively demonstrating how fruitful such a cross-generational intercontinental jazz encounter can be.

Since then, he has long proven himself as an extremely alert and vital catalyst beyond the city limits of Hamburg and Berlin, who knows how to dose his dynamism in the service of the respective musical context. In his still young career, he has worked with artists such as Dave Liebman, Richie Beirach, Tobias Delius, Jonas Westergaard, Rainer Böhm, Vladislav Sendecki, and Claus Stötter. He studied with Bill Elgart and Holger Nell in Germany and with Adam Nussbaum, Greg Hutchinson, and Billy Hart in the USA before moving to Berlin, where he has been living and working since early 2019.
