Saskia Worf  Career Field Studies


Saskia Worf has been playing the flute and piano since the age of 4. At the age of 15, she began her preparatory studies and subsequently pursued instrumental pedagogy specializing in flute at the Peter-Cornelius Conservatory in Mainz under the guidance of Renate Kehr. From 2015 to 2021, she studied at the University of Music and Dance Cologne, Wuppertal Campus, in the flute class of Prof. Dirk Peppel, earning a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Music in Solo/Chamber Music. In addition, she pursued a Bachelor of Music in instrumental pedagogy, majoring in piano, from 2017 to 2022 under the tutelage of Jee-Young Phillips. She completed masterclasses with Carin Levine, Emily Beynon, and Birgit Ramsl-Gaal, further enriching her studies.






As a freelance flutist, Saskia specializes in contemporary music and chamber music. She has performed in concerts at the Historical Stadthalle and Citykirche in Wuppertal, as well as in Montepulciano and the Cologne Philharmonie. She works as an instrumental teacher for flute and piano at the Bergische Musikschule in Wuppertal, and also serves as a lecturer for "Professional Field Studies" at the Academy of Music Berlin ( AfM-Berlin ) and the International Music Academy Wuppertal. Additionally, she is involved in flute arrangements and compositions. During her studies, she launched the blog "Managemusik" in 2019, which has since evolved into a podcast with over 100 episodes. She can also be heard on the podcasts "Die Musikerschmiede" and "Flöten Fragen" (Flute Questions). In 2022, she published her new book offering an honest insight into the music industry, titled "What Do You Actually Do for a Living?"
