The state-recognized Master of Arts study program at BIMA

For whom:  This program is designed for soloists and orchestral/ensemble instrumentalists specializing in classical music, including chamber music and early music. It is suited for musicians who have already completed a Bachelor’s degree or possess relevant professional experience.

Special features:  High-level classical training to develop and perfect the soloist skills on the major instrument; practice-oriented; extensive rehearsing with ensembles and orchestras. Students will have the opportunity to perform with musicians from other traditional backgrounds and study global aesthetic theories. The curriculum includes modules on historical performance practices, project-based work in sound workshops from concept to realization, and career-focused modules on topics such as musician law, music curation and management, public relations and marketing, and artistic research within a transtraditional context. Additionally, innovative modules like music and artificial intelligence and more are offered.

Examples of major subjects: keyboard instruments (piano, harpsichord); plucked instruments (guitar, lute); brass instruments (horn, trumpet, trombone, saxophone, tuba); string instruments (violin, viola, cello, double bass); woodwind instruments (clarinet, flute, transverse flute, oboe, bassoon).
