The state-recognized Master of Arts study program at BIMA

For whom: This program is designed for musicians (instrumentalists, vocalists, and composers) from around the world who wish to continue practicing their own musical traditions while engaging in dialog with other traditions to enhance their creativity. It is also ideal for musicians who aspire to build a career in the transtraditional music scene in Berlin.

Key features: The program offers opportunities to perform with musicians from other traditions through Creative Musicking. It also allows for in-depth specialization in four career paths – Interpretation, Research, Creation, or Management – within a transtraditional context. The curriculum is project-based, with sound workshops that guide students from conception to realization.
