Mzia Wulf-Jajanidze was born in Georgia and began her artistic career at the age of eight when she performed with the symphony orchestra in her native city of Kutaisi. She received her training as a scholarship holder from various well-known foundations, including the Elisabeth Leonskaja Foundation, that of the Georgian President E. Shevardnadze, the Helene Rosenberg Foundation and last but not least the Adelhausen Foundation. Before moving to Germany in 2006, she studied with Prof. Tengiz Amirejibi at the State Conservatory in Tbilisi, then at the Freiburg Music Academy, where she passed her concert exam with Prof. Michael Leuschner with distinction. Characteristic of Jajanidze's artistic career as well as her repertoire is the presence of solo and chamber music, of opera, song and ballet - a versatility that is also reflected in her successes. She received the silver medal at the Spring Friendship International Art Festival in Korea, won 2nd prize at the Arthur Lepthien Competition in 2007, 1st prize at the C. Bechstein University Competition for Piano Baden-Württemberg in 2009 and 2nd prize at the International Piano Competition in the same year Palma de Mallorca. For the Beethoven Complete Edition (Brilliant Classics), which was published in 2007, she recorded Irish, Scottish and Welsh songs, among other things. In autumn 2017 her most recent solo CD with works by J. Haydn, Fr. Chopin, A. Scriabin and others was released by Musicom in Münster. Mzia Wulf-Jajanidze has been living and working in Berlin since 2019. She gives concerts regularly in Germany and internationally and has performed in France, Georgia, Italy, Lithuania, Spain, Greece and Korea.
